图书馆里的孩子

阿尔弗雷德C. 奥康奈尔图书馆 welcomes patrons of all ages. 然而, concern for the safety of children as well as proper stewardship of library resources prompts the following:

  • A child is defined as anyone who appears to be under the age of sixteen.
  • A responsible adult must accompany children in the library at all times. The presence of unaccompanied children 会向校园安全部门报告吗.
  • 捣乱的孩子, 不恰当地使用图书馆资源, or damages library materials or equipment, 会向校园安全部门报告吗.
  • 阿尔弗雷德·C. 奥康奈尔图书馆 computers are intended for the use of Genesee Community College students, 教师, 工作人员, and adult community patrons who obtain library cards.
  • 图书馆 computers do not have content filters; adults may not log children on to use the computers.

图书馆 工作人员 members cannot provide supervision or act as guardians, nor are they expected to search for accompanying adults or verify the ages of children. All concerns re unattended children 会向校园安全部门报告吗.

社区用户

Community patron cards are issued to GLOW (Genesee, 利文斯顿, 奥尔良, and Wyoming county) residents and are required to check out materials in the library’s circulating collection. This includes books, audiobooks, and music CDs.

Computer access is available to card holders. Community patrons must show their card at the Information Desk and a librarian will sign them onto a computer. Computer use includes on site access to internet and licensed research databases.

学生s have priority at all computers and library equipment. Some equipment might not be available to guest users. Be aware: during busy times of the semester there may not be a PC available for guest use.

Community patrons are encouraged to ask a librarian if they have questions. 学生s should not be approached for assistance.

Study rooms are available for GCC students, 教师, and 工作人员 only.  储备金也只供学生使用.

We make every effort to keep the community informed about library hours, 然而, hours may change with little to no notice. If there is inclement weather, call or check the college website before driving to campus.

Community patrons are responsible for following all library guidelines and procedures. Failure to do so may result in suspension of privileges. 请注意:图书馆开放时间, printing conditions and software packages may change with little to no notice due to circumstances beyond our control.

  • 学生s have first priority on all library pcs and equipment at all times.
  • Priority access to workstations is for course-related research and assignments. If you are using a workstation for other purposes, a librarian may ask you to leave your workstation if it is needed by another user.
